Liquid Biopsy System

Liquid Biopsy System

CELL ISOLATOR

Smart Biopsy™
Cell Isolator

Isolates rare cells from blood or bodily fluids without cell damage, utilizing a High Density Microporous (HDM) chip.

  • 1 Isolates live CTCs from blood
  • 2 Easy to use with an intuitive GUI
  • 3 High reliability in recovery precision and accuracy through a high-precision tip recognition algorithm
  • 4 Minimization of CTC damage by gravity-based separation using Cytogen’s proprietary HDM chip technology
  • 5 Isolates relatively large rare cells in a live state without artificial pressure for use in genetic testing, immunofluorescence staining, and cell culture
  • 6 Applicability for isolating rare cells from all types of bodily fluids, such as blood or pleural fluid
  • 7 Proven effectiveness in capturing circulating tumor cells (CTCs), the most representative type of rare cells

Features

Capture of intact, undamaged cells

Enables the concentration and isolation of high-purity live cells based on size.

Automatic liquid layer detection

An integrated camera automatically detects the volume of the liquid layer and proceeds with the process.

Proven CTC analysis workflows

Isolated cells can be analyzed through subsequent applications such as genetic analysis and immunofluorescence staining.

Unique barcode system

Recognizes the barcode of each sample container to prevent cross-contamination between samples.

Flexible sample loading volume

Can process various loading volumes ranging from 5 mL to 10 mL.

System Workflow

Step 1

Blood pre-treatment

Elimination of blood cells in the sample using blood cell surface proteins.

Step 2

HDM Chip Separation

Removal of remaining small nucleated cells without artificial pressure, utilizing the size difference of circulating tumor cells.

Step 3

CTC recovery

Recovery of circulating tumor cells from the HDM chip.

Live CTC Applications

RNA/DNA/Protein Analysis

CTC Organoid Culture

CTC Enumeration

CTC Culture

Circulating tumor cells captured on days 0, 4, 7, and 16 during the culture process.

Mutation Analysis in CTC

EGFR exon 19 deletion testing using lung cancer clinical samples.
